"When Life Gives You Lemons..."

Sometimes life hurts
Deep, deep, within.
Sometimes it burns
And pokes
And prods -
Until it finds your breaking point.

Sometimes it hurts
So hard to breathe.
Too hard to breathe.

Life suffocates
No matter how it comes.

Joy wells up inside
Until you can't breathe.
Sorrow wells inside
Until you can't breathe.

It's hard to breathe
And you're close to your
Breaking point.
Have you reached your
Breaking point?
Will you just give in?

"Write A Poem."

God will not give us
More than we can handle
So I'll persevere
Even through my tears.

I WILL NOT give in.
I WILL FIGHT through tears.

Someone cries
HARDER than me.
Someone right now
SUFFOCATES to death.
Someone, somewhere,
DIES for Christ.

I WILL NOT give in.
I WILL FIGHT through the tears.

I will REJOICE
That I am counted
WORTHY to suffer
For CHRIST.

Life does not send lemons -
God gives trials.
I trust God to win,
And strive to glorify Him.

When God sends me lemons
I won't make lemonade.
I will suffer the lemons
And praise His name.

To ease the suffocation,
I empty the pain
At His feet.
I give Him my heart -
I write a poem.

I love the reminder. Thank you. When trials do come, you may not be thankful for the circumstances, but do be thankful for God's presence.

"It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." Ralph Waldo Emerson

I'm glad it was a good reminder. I was a little bit afraid that it might sound like I was saying that suffering is irrelevant, or something like that.

See him with his books:
Tree beside the brooks,
Drinking at the root
Till the branch bear fruit.
See him with his pen:
Written line, and then,
Better thought preferred,
Deep from in the Word.
~John Piper

Wonderful wording!

"Here's looking at you, Kid"
