I just thought I'd explain really quick that I have not been able to post on apricotpie for a while, due to a full schedule which included 4H. I have been writing some, but only poetry, and I will be leaving Tuesday to work at camp Barakel for two weeks, so I will basically be pretty innactive for a while. But, I will continue to write, and you can count on a chapter or two of each of my stories as soon as I get back. So, anyways... Here's a poem I wrote today...
Dearest…
Dearest,
Child of the Living God,
Lover of music,
Blossoming like a rose.
You are special to me,
More than words can tell.
I love you most when you forgive,
And you are forgiven.
I love when you laugh,
When you cry,
When you sing;
But most of all,
I love how you listen.
I love how you hear,
The music of the world
Which I created for you.
Dearest,
Daughter of the King,
Lover of music,
Blossoming like flower.
You are special to me,
More than words can tell.
I love you most when you forgive,
And you are forgiven.
I love when you laugh,
When you cry,
When you sing;
But most of all,
I love how you see.
I love how you see,
The colors of the world
Which I created for you.
Dearest,
My little princess,
Lover of music,
Blossoming into a woman.
You are special to me,
More than words can tell.
I love you most when you forgive,
And you are forgiven.
I love when you laugh,
When you cry,
When you sing;
But most of all,
I love how you speak.
I love how you speak,
With affection towards the world
Which I created for you.
Sometimes you fail,
And it fills my heart with sorrow.
Sometimes you rebel,
And it fills my heart with sorrow.
Sometimes you fall,
And it fills my heart with sorrow.
Sometimes you turn,
And it fills my heart with sorrow.
But when you obey…
Dearest,
Child of the Most High,
Lover of colors,
Blossoming like spring.
You are special to me,
More than words can tell.
I love you most when you forgive,
And you are forgiven.
I love when you laugh,
When you cry,
When you sing;
But most of all,
I love your heart.
I love how it beats,
To the music of the world
Which I created for you-
Dearest child.

Wow.
This is absolutely beautiful! It sort of might have brought tears to my eyes.

This was just so special.
This was just so special. Anna's right; it should be put into a song.
The bit where:
Sometimes you fail,
And it fills my heart with sorrow.
Sometimes you rebel,
And it fills my heart with sorrow.
Sometimes you fall,
And it fills my heart with sorrow.
Sometimes you turn,
And it fills my heart with sorrow.
This bit just really tore at my heart. Is this supposed to be be about a mother and child? Because that verse is just so true. Thankyou so much! <3

@ Maddi- Thank you.
@ Maddi- Thank you. Actually, it is about God to a young woman/child. I tried to indicate this by the stanzas which deal with the speaker creating the world for the girl. Still, it could relate to a mother/child relationship as well, I would just need to take out those stanzas dealing with creation.

Oh, yeah. I guess it just really spoke to my heart as a mother/child thing.
Huh, I like your tag; where's it from? :) <3

@ Maddi- I guess you mean
@ Maddi- I guess you mean my "signature" quote? (outside of a dog, books are mans best friend. Inside of a dog, its too dark to read). Its a quote from some comedian from the early 1900's. I haven't got a clue about the guy who said it, I just like the quote. I can find out the name of the guy who said it if you want.

Haha, no that's fine, I just wanted to see if.... um, I actually don't know!
But No, don't trouble yourself. If I REALLY wanted to, I would do it myself; and I don't want to!
I just read what I said and it sounded like an absolute ramble.
God Bless :D

This reads in such a lyrical way. It should really have music.
