My Jesus Story
I was born to a wonderful family, having a mother and a father that care for me so much. As I grew up I accepted Christ many times. I was so focused on God not hearing me through my prayers. I asked God so many times about my hope in the future. I remember me sitting on my bed, by myself, crying. I was seven years old. I told God, ‘this is the last time I am saying this. I want you to come in my heart so I can truly live for you.’ Those words aren’t exact but they fell across those lines. After that I felt that I had a true friend. I was so much more open to school, my friends, and most of all: hearing the truth.
A back round story: when the jet hit the twin towers on 911, I was in North Carolina. My parents were watching the news. I can picture myself leaning against my dad’s leg as he lay on the floor intently watching. My dad was making comments about the news. I was watching it. I saw the replay of the knock over of the buildings. They repeated it so many times. I began to wonder: what good could come out of this. As soon as I thought that some strength appeared in me. I leaned against my dad’s leg, pushing myself up on my feet. Just then while all the terrorist’s attacks were going on, I stood up.
God made me for reasons I now know. I might not know the whole plan but God has amazing plans for everyone’s lives. On 911 was the first day I stood up. I believe God allowed that to happen because he wants me to take a stand for America. Also that military disease: ALS, those are the initials of my name. I am part of America. We need to stand up for America. We can’t back down at all. This is a nation under God. If you leave the power of America you’re backing down for God. We have privileges like voting, walking around on the sidewalks, driving around the states. Why not take a step forward and go far and beyond the line of vacations but make it a mission for God. Try it. We were created for a purpose to prosper people with our lives. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Lord.” So what are we waiting for? We are leaders in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, shine your light for the world.
God put this on my heart to write to show people that there is a plan for everyone's life.

For one thing, I am absolutely blown away that your first memory is being one years old and standing up for the first time. That's a truly sensitive and amazing mind, if you can remember that!!
Also -- it makes me feel incredibly old. I was thirteen and watching the Twin Towers fall on the TV....and you were standing up as a baby. Wow!!

Thank you for that. It's a reminder that we all need to hear.
I don’t thrive off of chaos: chaos thrives off of me.
