Dearest Claudia,
I was so thrilled to receive your letter and invitation. I accept with great pleasure and excitement the invitation that you have so obligingly sent, and you may expect me on the evening coach in Denton on September 30th.
We are praying that your father's work will prosper, and that your family will have peace about your living situation in town. I know from experience that living in the middle of a big town is not very pleasant.
My brother John was doing well when he wrote his last letter, which was on April 17th. He has finally completed the building of his new ranch house, and from his descriptions of it it is a very large, handsome house. His new foreman seems to be a very godly young man, and dependable in his work. John says that he will be shipping off two-hundred cattle by the 18th of June, and Rusty and Jim-bob will be going with them to make sure they arrive in Utah safely.
I am going to send him your letter, as he has asked me to tell him all about your move, and I thought that your letter would tell it better than I ever could.
Yes, those were dear old days! Poor John! but I don't think that he regrets any of the old romps we had, or the mischief that we got in to.
From what you have said about your pastor, he sounds like a very godly man, and you must like him very much. does he live near your family?
Mamma is calling me in to supper now, so I had better go.
With much love,
Lydia

Thanks, Mikaela! I'm
Thanks, Mikaela! I'm thinking about doing a small part of it as a narration, just to explain what's going on in between letters, so we shall see how that goes!
Thanks so much for your encouragement! And I love your style of writing, too. I always look forward to seeing your new posts.
God bless you!

Ah! So you will do Lydia's letters as well! Interesting :)
I'm wondering about what age the girls are? Maybe you can weave that into the next part.

I think I actually did tell
I think I actually did tell how old they are in part one when Claudia is talking about when they used to play with John before he moved out West. But if it's not clear enough I can change it a little bit.
Thanks so much for commenting! I wish more people would comment.
God bless you!

Oh
Yeah, you did, sorry.

You made it very clear....I am just forgetful and silly. Don't mind me!
By the way, about comments, I would say a few more people read this, but don't comment. I know I get lazy with commenting :)

No problem! I'm glad it's
No problem! I'm glad it's clear. I have been learning a lot more about writing in the last couple of days, so I'm hoping to make this particular story a little better. I need to get over dreading the research that goes into the details of a good book... anyway, I'm glad that you like my story so far!
God bless!

Yay! We're on at the same time!
That's good. I'm sure you'll continue to learn more about writing on apricot pie. I certainly have!
God bless you too.

Yeah, fun! What time is it
Yeah, fun! What time is it there in Australia? It's 11:32 pm here in central Texas.
I really like it here on AP.
Oh and by the way I have been wanting to sau that I was really proud of you for your comment on Kassady's latest set of poems. You said exactly what I would have said if I wasn't such a newbie on here. And you said it with such a kind and humble spirit that I felt like hugging you for it. :) That would've been kinda hard since you live in a different country.

Hey! Sorry I went out for basketball for an hour and a half :) It is now 6:33pm in NSW :)
Thanks. It was hard to say, and I'm glad she took it so well. I tried to say it in the humblest way possible, so I'm glad it came across like that. I felt like it needed to be said, and no one was saying anything, so there goes me!
Anyway, it's all in the past :)

No problem! I finally fell
No problem! I finally fell asleep, so I missed yours. :)
Yeah, I had felt like it needed to be said, too, but since I'm so new I didn't want to set myself up as being perfect, or beter than her. And you said it better than I probably would have said it.
God bless!

I smell a potential romantic
I smell a potential romantic interest in this with the pastor who "sounds like a very godly man"? Haha.
