Well Hey

Tic tac
Jaw slack
Got that cherry red lip smack
Back packin' out back

Old hick
With this chick
I'll park for you to see the view
And no, girl, I ain't eyein' you

Sun's low
Home slow
Keep a fellow on his toes
Hit the trail to keep it close

Corvette
You bet
It's time to detour; take a ride
I'm proud to have you by my side

Sweet tea
You and me
Your smile is a sight to see
Pink cheeks no cheat

Well hey
Okay
I guess you really have to say
This has been a southern day

I wrote this for fun. It kinda has a Trace Adkins feel to it, and I can even hear him singing it in my head, tune and all. Anyways, hope y'all enjoyed it. I wanted to post a Christmas poem but it (sadly) is not finished, and everything else I have on hand is far too personal to share on here. :)

This is SO CUTE. There's a sassiness to it that I love. It screams "country", and your style and flair you've put in it are fantastic. Only one critique: And no girl I ain't eyein' you

That line was a little unclear to me, because I think it needs punctuation. At first I thought you were saying "no girl" as in "there's no girl" but then when you followed it with the last half I understood, but it's a little unclear.

And no, girl, I ain't eyein' you

I think that will really clear it up! You did a fantastic job; this is adorable! Merry, merry Christmas to you!

OKAY I CAN'T WRITE A POEM LIKE THIS ONE!!!!!!!!! HOW DO YOU DO IT?! I LOVE THIS BOUNCE IN THE RHYTHM!!!!!

With that overwith, somebody make this into a song! It's so cute and I love your rhyme scheme!

Ahhh I love this so much! I can almost hear it with a bluegrassish guitar, and maybe a fiddle.
