Tears

Sometimes I ponder and I wonder why
A woman who's blessed tears up to cry
And then I remember her eyes so gentle
Feeling so deeply she loves not a little

Her life is a beautiful poem
Her heart is intricately woven
Her God-given life a sacrifice of love;
Her soul made of beauty given from above

Remember her tear; needed; 'tis true
It's a privilege if shared with you
Her sorrows are all yours now, as are her joys
Her heart is in your hands, your love it employs

Men, treasure her, handle her gently
Don't give her affection absently
Cherish her gently, always hold her heart dear
Thank God for His present of her precious tear

This is for all the women out there (and an encouragement for the men in their lives). I write this thinking if my mother's beautiful heart.

Aww, I loved these lines --

"So men, treasure her, handle her gently
Don't give her your affection absently
Cherish her and hold her heart dear"

Especially the "your affection absently" part -- that made me think about some things in my life in a new way. I love when writers can give me an expression that I didn't have words for before!! Thank you for that!

I'm so glad you like it. :) I'm quite proud of myself for that particular line. :)
But I do need to mess with the rhythm. It's quite a bit off.

I don’t thrive off of chaos: chaos thrives off of me.

I LOVE that third verse so much. A lot of stories or real life situations show that men don't know what to do with girl tears, but really it's a privilege that they even get to see them. Thanks for writing this; it's precious ;)

When I worship, I would rather my heart be without words than my words be without heart.

Thank you SO much! I'm glad that you liked that third verse. :) it kinda happened all by itself. :) I may hold the pen but it is God that writes the words. :) so you see I really can't take credit for any of it.

I messed with the rhythm so hopefully it flows better now. :)

I don’t thrive off of chaos: chaos thrives off of me.

Lovely.
"Her sorrows are all yours now, as are her joys

This was wonderfully written and well rhymed ;)
