A Mother's Prayer

Submitted by Damaris Ann on Tue, 06/28/2016 - 13:40

Sweet little life inside of mine
I pray to God your light will shine
I pray your days be fill'd with grace
And that you'll look upon His face
I pray His love you'll magnify
As you lift up His name on high
And sing a song of endless praise
May He alone fill up your days

One of my best friends, my big sister, my cousin, and my new sister-in-law are all pregnant right now and it made me think about the serenity of motherhood. So I wrote this. :)

This is soooo sweet! And so true. No one thinks more about the spirituality of her child than a mother. Beautiful.

When I worship, I would rather my heart be without words than my words be without heart.

Mmmm, very sweet! I'm sure many mothers feel this poem touch them, but even without being a mother I could somehow feel close the poem. Very nice!
