You once were small
Crying in your cage
With fuzzy fur
And little eyes
You were so timid
Biting a glove
And a spoon
But I loved you anyways
We thought you were a boy
But a girl we found
So I named you
Lieutenant Saavik
You had a white stripe
With a brownish ‘L’
And I kissed you
On that ‘L’
Then you were puffy
And fat
With two eyes
Always sparkling
Then you grew old
Earning the name
Little ‘Jistafoof’
Thus you died
My little Saavik
A poem I wrote about my Hamster that died on the '21 of March'

aww! Saavik was always such a good hamster... I'll miss her, too. But the poem was very sweet. :)

Lovely!
I like this a lot. You describe the small, nervous creature very well in the first few stanzas. I had to read this when I saw "Saavik" - I like Star Trek too. ;)
Poor little guy. My hamster
Poor little guy. My hamster was killed by my dangerously playful dog. How sad.

Brit, you had a hamster? I didn't know that. It's sad that it died. (Poor little thing!)
