It’s that time again
When the lights are shining
Tinsel wrapped around the Christmas Tree
He’s right here among us
But we pass him by
For the gifts around the tree
The Feast goes on
And the babe is forgotten
Wrapped in his swaddling clothes
We don’t realize
He is given for us
It’s that time again
And we are still blind

Lovely and too true!
Great poem! It's sad how true it is, too. If only more people would realize what it's all about. Yes, Christmas is about giving. But many forget that the most important gift is the one Christ gave to us-- Himself. Nice job on your poem! I love it!
