Since Apricotpie is a writing website, I thought that I would post the annual Vision Forum Writing Contest on here.
“The Mystery of the Lost Day”
Somewhere on an unforgiving arctic island filled with lava tubes, steamvents, and glaciers , the young man featured on our catalog cover has survived a hazardous journey. You can read about his adventures in the three books Dominion, Risk, and Manhood. But something appears to be missing from his story—almost an entire day! We found this in his journal ”. . . it has been a tough day, but I made it. . . .“ So what happened? How did he persevere? We are on pins and needles. Help us solve “The Mystery of the Lost Day” by writing a story.

If I can come up with a good idea, I'll enter... but so far everything I've thought of is cheesy. I wish we could choose the setting, because the desert would be perfect.
Vision Forum's story prizes are always 1000 dollars, right?
Do you have to read all three books before writing it? Sounds intimidating. Nothing I have written could be worth one thousand dollars. Probably never would be.

I thought you all should see this...

:)
I didn't do it for the money, but the curious thing is that I've not been contacted by Vision Forum, and am hesitant to contact them because I can't find anything anywhere again about the prize, and didn't really pay attention to it earlier since I wasn't doing it for the money, but Arthur, you did see that, right?

I KNEW YOU WOULD WIN, KYLEIGH!!! That is so strange you were not contacted. Winning at Vision Forum is much better than winning the blog the blog, I think.... :)

Just wanted...
Since I said on here they had not contacted me, I thought I should also say on here that everything got worked out.
Hey everyone!
I forgot to mention the prize. There will be a prize of $1,000 to whoever wins the contest. That might be an incentive to take a jab at it!
