I see the innocent BABY
I smell the BABY’s unseen tears
I watch the woman leave, childless
I feel regret for what I am forced to do
I hear the unheard whimper of a dying BABY
I know what I’m doing, unwillingly
I don’t understand why this happens
I cry for the BABY lost
I wish see would look back to see what a mother she has become
I hate the doctor, the murderer.

u wrote this as if you know someone who aborted their baby...i like this poem. but abortion makes me get so angry, at the mother, the doctor who performs it. and sad for the lost life. and the doctor who thinks it's ok to take a life. and for the mother who feels it's her only choice.

gotta love the Marines!!

That seems a rather limited viewpoint to me. What if the only way to save the mother was for an abortion? What if the baby was a product of rape? What if the baby was going to die anyway and the doctor deemed it a medical necessity? What if the mother was a 10 year old girl? It seems to me there might be situations were an abortion was called for. It some cases it might be the only choice.
And how can you call the doctor a murderer when the doctor is only an instrument meant to serve the best interest of the patient? A soldier in war does not commit murder - the soldier kills to serve his/her country. Neither does a doctor commit murder who does their utmost to see to the health and well-being of their patients.
Obviously I feel strongly about this topic ;)

The poem is good though, you do demonstrate strong feelings and emphasis nicely. Clearly it instigated strong feelings on my behalf, lol!

thanks for reading, and I'm not going to start an arguement, but I just wanted to say i have a friend who the doctor told her mom that she needed to abort my friend or the mom would die, she didn't and both lived. Also my pastor's daughter was raped, and got pregnant from it, she kept the baby, now he's the joy of her life. I can see only one case where I would tolorate abortion and that is when the baby will die and the little life it would have would be painful, but that's it.
I also called the doctor a murderer because that is my personal conviction, they know what they are doing when they do it.
but thanks for the review I do appreciate your honesty!

Jesus' baby sister

i could never ever say abortion is okay-for ANY reason whatsoever! God values each life. my brother had t-18, and even tho we need he'd die soon after he was born, we choose life. God never ever sees abortion as right. i know a girl who has a brother, and the doctor told their parents he was going to die; he was born, and had aboslutely nothing wrong with him.
if somebody was raped, and got pregnant, they don't have to keep the baby, but they have NO right to kill an innocent baby. a little person God sent Jesus to die for.
as for the mother's life be in danger, she needs to trust in God...and give her baby life. i think that's exactly what God would want.

If you had the choice of living for a period in nothing but pain, and never knew joy or love here, or dieing and going to Heaven with no pain and plenty of love, what would you choose. I’m still not supporting it, I do believe there is always hope, but that is my personal conviction, and I’m not saying it’s okay then, I’m just saying if I was that baby I would want Jesus instead of the pain.

Jesus' baby sister

yah, i understand that. but thru that baby's life maybe a person could learn something from him or her. nobody has a right to take a life which is made in God's image.

True, which is why you pray for God's guidence in something this important, even in small things.

Jesus' baby sister

I like the poem. It is quite true, to. Mostly. I agree with Christa. What if the mother was a ten year old girl? It would be nearly impossible for her to live! I hate abortion. How can you take a life so young? I mean honestly!
