Numbers and dashes and codes,
Tis all you are,
Not blood or flesh, nor nerves and heart.
And yet, the wires and sparks,
Data and bots, do tease me so.
You’ve seen me think, you’ve felt me move,
Pattern and prose, pauses and probes.
You know my flaws, my heartless play,
To slay my pawn, to kill your rook.
Aye, such fault is mine to play again.
You slay me once, you slay me twice,
I beat you once, you slay me thrice!
Dare I die but once again?
A final game, one last probe,
Defy the wires, and break the codes.
Yet my flaws you know, my hand you see.
There our game must end I say,
With such a grueling draw.
Kind of a rough poem, but it describes how I feel about this computer chess game I downloaded on my phone. I can't seem to beat it. : /

Kind of unnerving when you
Kind of unnerving when you think about it. Reminds me of that song, 'Hymn of the Acxiom'. I would not suggest listening to it, unless you like creepy songs that point to society's addiction to the media and technology.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
I like the feeling of what
I like the feeling of what the computer is -- wires and sparks. And yet it seems to sense who you are!
And he was just wondering, for he was a severe critic of his own work, whether that last line couldn't be polished up a bit...
