Snow Angels

Angels

Float in the air

Dancing in the gray

Siing Lullaby's

I name them

One by one

Noel

Faith

Hope

Cadance

They feel so alive

So real

It get's darker and darker

The stars luster in the twilight

I'm about to go sleep

I decided to put them to bed

I put on my snow boots

and hurry outside

I capture the angels

In thin air

Just as I'm about to tuck them

Into the snow

They vanish

My heart crumbles

Tears start forming

I shout

"MY SNOWFLAKES!!!"

My father comes out

Says,

"Little Princess,

What happened?"

"My snow flakes gone!"

I wail

My dad then says,

"There not gone princess."

"They can't sleep in snow!"

"They are nice and warm in your hand!"

"They are so warm that you can't see them!"

"You will see them dance another day."

"Thanks Daddy!"

I say.

I suddenly

feel like I'm in rapture again!

Good night my angels!

Very pretty!

It took me a little while to understand what you meant by angels, but then it sounded more and more like snow flakes.

Good job!

Another great Alexandra poem! LOL!

Thank you for your nice comment :D. I love snow esspially snow flakes!!!! I really love it when they are big and float slowly down, it looks REALLY pretty :D.

Alexandra :)

I like it a lot! It's very descriptive which is my favorite type of poetry! :) I love the following lines, they just really stood out for me:

"They are nice and warm in your hand!"

"They are so warm that you can't see them!"

"You will see them dance another day."

I love that! Like you're almost saying--you catch a snowflake and it melts, but the pattern linger in your hand. Very good! I can't wait to see more of your writing!

Hi Alexandra!

You don't have a contact button so I can only use a comment! LOL!

Once AP was going to close, so I made a site called Apricot Tarts for homeschooler's.

So I was just wondering if you would like to join that site as well (if your aloud :) )

Oh! Here is the site address: www.apricottarts.webs.com

Okay!

Thanks

Hi, Alex! I loved this! I like how your dad was so comforting...and that idea that even though the snowflakes disappeared, they melted on your hand, and thus somehow mystically stay with you... they're warmly sleeping there. I love the jubilant note you ended on, too!
